Privacy Policy
Pure Technology Inc.
Effective Date: October 16, 2026 · Last Updated: October 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pure Technology Inc. ("Pure Technology," "we," "us") collects and uses personal information when you visit puretechnology.ai, apply for a role or internship through it, or use live chat on it. Our product and division sites have their own policies: purebrain.ai/privacy-policy (PureBrain) and puremarketing.ai/privacy-policy (Pure Marketing Group). Questions: [email protected].
1. Information we collect
Applications and inquiries. When you use our "General Positions" or "Internships" application form, we collect your name, email address, the role or area you are interested in, a link to your resume or portfolio if you give one, and your message. We use this to review your application or inquiry and to contact you about it. Please don't include sensitive information (such as health information, government ID numbers, or details about race, religion or immigration status) unless we ask for it. To limit spam and abuse, we also store a one-way, salted hash of the IP address the form was sent from (not the address itself); we do not store your browser details with your application. If we move forward with you, we may ask for more information under a separate notice.
Technical data. Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider, receives your IP address and basic browser and device information when you visit, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on puretechnology.ai. If we add them, we will update this policy first.
2. Live chat on our website
Our live chat is operated by Pure Technology, using the same system as on purebrain.ai. Chat transcripts are stored in that chat system on Cloudflare. No third-party chat vendor receives your messages.
Typing preview: we can see what you type before you send it. Once you have given us your name and email address in the chat and sent at least one message during your visit, a member of our team can see the text in the chat box as you type it, before you press send, including words you delete. Nothing you type before then is shown to us. Unsent drafts are shown in real time only: they are not saved and are never sent to any AI or other company. Only messages you send are saved.
Your agreement. By sending a message in live chat, or by giving us your name and email address in it, you agree to the typing preview and to this Privacy Policy. If you don't want that, please email us instead.
What we collect. Your first name; your email address if you give it; the messages you send and the replies you receive (the transcript); the page you started on, the referring page and campaign tags; while the chat is open, the page of our site you are viewing (not saved); a record of when you agreed to this policy, with a chat session ID and the notice version; and technical data such as IP address, browser, and the time of the chat.
Who's on our site right now. While a page of our site is open, your browser sends our team a short-lived signal (page, country, minutes on site, whether you are chatting) under a random code that lasts only while the tab is open. It is not linked to your name, email, IP address or any cookie, stores nothing on your device, and is held in memory for about 75 seconds and never saved. We do not collect it from visitors in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland unless they start a chat.
AI in live chat. Our website assistant may answer first. It does not write its own replies: it sends an answer our team has written and approved in advance, word for word, or hands you to a person. To choose an answer it uses Cloudflare Workers AI, which receives only the message you sent (sensitive details such as card numbers masked), never your name, email or drafts, and under Cloudflare's terms does not train AI models on it. Our team may also use AI tools to draft replies; a person reads and approves every such reply before it is sent, and it is labelled with the team member's name and the assistant's name, for example "Jared S · via Chy (AI assistant)". AI replies can be wrong; they are general information, not professional advice. You can ask for a person at any time. We do not use chat transcripts to train or fine-tune AI models.
Customer records. When you give us your email address in chat, we create or update a contact record for you in Apex, the customer-records (CRM) system Pure Technology operates, tagged as coming from puretechnology.ai (site=pt). It holds your name, email, the transcript or a summary, any call you book, and the page, referrer and campaign information. If you don't give an email address, we create no contact record; the chat stays only in our chat system. If your chat is about PureBrain or Pure Marketing Group, the relevant team may see it.
Emails about your chat. If you gave your email address and leave before we reply, or ask for a copy, we email you through our provider, Brevo. These emails are about your inquiry only and do not sign you up for any newsletter.
Remembering you on this device. We may keep your name and email in your browser's local storage so you don't have to retype them. If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, if we cannot tell where you are, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we do this only if you tick "Remember me on this device". "Not you? Forget me" clears it.
Legal basis (EU/EEA/UK). Responding to your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in support and understanding how visitors find us; consent for remembering you on your device.
Retention. Chat transcripts (with or without an email address), the first name you gave, and notes our AI assistant keeps about the chat: 12 months (365 days) from your last chat, then deleted. Consent records: as long as the related transcript or contact record. Unsent drafts, the live visitor signal, and the page you view during a chat: not stored. CRM contact record: deleted or anonymized after 24 months with no contact, or sooner on request.
Your choices. You can ask for a copy of your transcript, or for it and your contact record to be deleted, at any time (see "Your rights").
3. How we use and share information
We use your information to respond to you, review applications, operate and secure the site and run live chat (Section 2), and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and our operations (Cloudflare for hosting, form handling and the chat assistant; applications are kept in our database on Cloudflare, plus an email notification to our hiring team sent through our email provider, AgentMail; Brevo for chat emails; Apex, our own customer-records system, for chat leads), within the Pure Technology group (including Pure Marketing Group and PureBrain) where your inquiry concerns them, when the law requires it, or in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
4. How long we keep it
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Job and internship applications | Up to 2 years from submission, then deleted, unless you are hired (employee records rules then apply) or you ask us to delete it sooner |
| General inquiries | Up to 12 months from your last contact |
| Live chat (see Section 2) | 12 months (365 days) from your last chat |
| Security logs | Per Cloudflare's standard practice (typically 30 to 90 days) |
5. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, or delete it. Email us with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the time the law requires (California: 45 days; EU/UK: one month; Canada and Quebec: 30 days) and will not treat you differently for asking.
- California residents, including job applicants, have the rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), limit use of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against. Categories we collect: identifiers, professional or employment-related information, electronic communications (chat), and internet activity limited to what Cloudflare receives.
- Other US states with consumer privacy laws give similar rights; you can use them the same way, and appeal a decision by replying with "Appeal".
- EU/EEA/UK/Swiss visitors: we process applications and inquiries to take steps at your request and for our legitimate interest in recruiting and responding. You may object, restrict processing, request portability, and complain to your data protection authority.
- Canada (PIPEDA) and Quebec (Law 25): Pure Technology has an office in Toronto. You may access and correct your information and withdraw consent. Your information is processed in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under US law. Quebec residents also have portability and de-indexing rights and may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information; others may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Our Privacy Officer is named in Section 8.
6. Children
Our site is for adults. Applicants, including internship applicants, must be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.
7. Security; changes
We use reasonable safeguards, including HTTPS and Cloudflare's firewall. No system is perfectly secure; if an incident affects your information, we will notify you where the law requires. We may update this policy; when we do, we will post the new version here and change the "Last Updated" date. Where the law requires, we will notify you.
